Assessment

The information on this page is tentative and subject to change pending state regulations, accreditation, and agreements with school districts across the state.

Data and Analytics Reporting

The WWUHS Program Director will collect data and report on:

  • Student enrollment, demographics, and performance in WWUHS courses.
  • Student performance trends and patterns, including completion rates and success in future Western courses (if applicable).
  • WWUHS program highlights at various levels for stakeholders (by WWUHS teacher, school, school district, Western course, and Western department).
  • Impact reporting of WWUHS program.
  • Western’s WWUHS program comparison with state and national standards.

WWUHS Teacher and Curriculum Review

Pre-Instruction Review

  • The Program Director will review qualifications of WWUHS Teacher applicants (see “WWUHS Teacher Review and Approval Process” section above).
  • The WWUHS Teacher will be provided with professional development opportunities from the Program Director and the Curriculum Coordinator (see “Training and Professional Development” section above).
  • The Curriculum Coordinator will review the alignment of the high school curriculum with Western’s standards and expectations and help the WWUHS Teacher make adjustments, as needed, to ensure that students meet Western’s standards and expectations.

During Instruction Review

  • Periodic check-ins will be conducted both by the WWUHS program (via the Program Director) and by the Curriculum Coordinator to ensure that WWUHS Teachers have the resources and support they need to be successful.
  • The WWUHS Teachers will provide incremental feedback to the Program Director and Curriculum Coordinator about student progress in the WWUHS courses.
  • The Curriculum Coordinator will review the WWUHS teacher via an in-class observation (either in-person or recorded).

Post-Instruction Review

  • The Curriculum Coordinator will review final assessments and activities to ensure that Western’s standards and expectations are met.
  • The Curriculum Coordinator and Program Director will review the student feedback surveys.
  • The WWUHS Teacher will complete a WWUHS program survey to provide feedback to Western’s WWUHS program that will be reviewed by the Program Director and the Curriculum Coordinator.
